This version keeps login simple so you can get into the app and create tournaments quickly.

This is the fastest path into tournament setup.
Username stays the main credential
The app still lets you log in with a username, but now it maps that username to the email on your account behind the scenes.
No MFA required right now
Registration stays simple, but every new account now has a real email address so confirmations and receipts can be delivered.
GGoogle sign-in is available too
New users can create an account with Google and land directly on the profile page to finish setup.
Supabase note
One auth setting still matters.
If you want Supabase itself to send verification emails, turn on email confirmation in Supabase Auth. If you want instant sign-in after registration, leave email confirmation off and use the app-level welcome email instead.
